VIC:Marginal voters still all over the shop

Like the contest for the nation's top job .. the most marginal seat in Victoria could
go down to the wire today.

In 2007 .. Labor candidate ROB MITCHELL won the seat of McEwen by a mere seven votes
.. but a federal court challenge by Liberal MP FRAN BAILEY saw her finally declared the
winner eight months later .. by only 31 votes.

The seat takes in Melbourne's northern and eastern fringes .. and some rural and mountain
communities .. and is held by just 0.02 per cent.

Wesburn publican KERRY BEAL says local voters appear to be all over the shop .. adding
they're swinging and waiting for last-minute policies.

Mr MITCHELL is back to try again and .. after Ms BAILEY's retirement .. is up against
local cop and bushfire hero CAMERON CAINE.
