NSW: Search continues for missing fisherman north of Newcastle

SYDNEY, April 22 AAP - The search continues today for a fisherman who was swept offrocks north of Newcastle.

The 34-year-old Fairfield man disappeared about 10am (AEST) on Sunday when a 2.5 metreswell pushed him off a ledge at Mooney Point in Catherine Hill Bay, a police spokesmansaid.

Newcastle Water Police resumed their search this morning and may consider using policedivers if the swell eases and weather conditions improve, he said.
